Mexican-born artist Guadalupe Reyes displays works at Pennington School
Mexican-American artist Guadalupe Reyes says she can still close her eyes and smell the flavors of the foods, the fragrances of the land and the flowers she knew as a girl growing up in Oaxaca.
“I can see my grandmother cooking and laughing with us still,” she says. “These are some of the feelings and impressions that I hope to share with you in my work.”
Twenty-six of her vibrant and joy-filled paintings are on display at The Pennington School’s Silva Gallery.
